[Discuss] Logo Ideas

I am not a big fan of QR codes, but I just found the link below to "23 Coolest
QR Codes".  Some of them are pretty cool.  We could possibly encorporate our
logo into a QR code.  I like the presentation of the US Sailing Team QR code and
I like how Macy's and Red Cross encorporated the QR code into their logo.  Just
a thought.

Willamette

Emerald (Empire)
South Valley

Logographic ideas . . .

Gears and electrons- like a Bohr-model atom but with a gear for a nucleus

Crossed wrench and soldering iron (like x-bones pirate graphic)
Lightning bolts crossed, under a robot head

Radio tower with radio waves radiating from a little ball on top (e.g. RKO logo)
Stars and telescope

Since the name and logo go hand in hand it would seem that the name
needs to be settled on in conjunction with the logo design. First off,
has the name "Eugene Makers Society/Space" been settled on?

To me it sounds like its still open for discussion. Here are some terms
to get the ball rolling:

Lane County
Eugene Franklin Skinner
"Skinner's Mudhole"
Green
Ducks
Eco-/Enviro- (Very Eugene terms)

Please reply with terms that you think define who we are and what we
do. Are there any fields that we represent the most? Computer science?
Mechanical engineering? Electrical? I will save everything for later.
