Rebuilding the makerspace

We are rebuilding. While we look for a new space, find us at one of our regular meetups and pop-up events.

Work continues to find a new space to house our workshop. Its been fun and instructive getting out into the community, with our regular weekly events and pop-ups, but so many of those conversations end up with “you should come down to our space – when we have one”. Or, “that’s exactly the kind of thing we could fix/make/brainstorm on at our space – when we have one again”.

So we’ve been visiting properties around town for a few months now, scouring the listings and following up on tips. Our next home is out there, its just waiting for us to find it.

In the meantime, we’re cooking up projects, classes and workshops and new events. We’ve got new members joining, offers of tools, offers of help to set things up. And we’re kicking around ideas for how to improve – meeting people where they are with the needs they have of a makerspace – and continuing to build on our mission to create an inclusive and accessible facility and community to help people learn new skills and bring their ideas into the world.
