Remembering Kevin Forsythe

Dr. Kevin Forsythe, MD

It is with a heavy heart that we must report the passing of Dr. Kevin Forsythe on November 17. Kevin was a member of EMS, and served as President on the 2018 EMS Board of Directors. Kevin helped steward EMS through a difficult transition period, and more than once he personally helped pull us out of difficult times.

Kevin worked as a Radiation Oncologist at the Oregon Urology Institute, and it is ever more bitter that it was cancer that took him at the age of just 43. He was, of course, so much more than that: A husband, a father twice over, a maker, a member of our community, and a friend to many of us.

His family and friends have organized a public memorial service for anyone who would like to attend, scheduled for Sunday, December 11 at 4pm, at the Unitarian Universalist Church. In lieu of flowers or donations, his family have asked that people get into a new hobby in his honor, and share that hobby with your family and friends.
